Harry Bertoia was considered ingenious, but proved people wrong because he combines simple spherical knowledge and metal to make simple masterpieces.
His inspirations came from natural forms, textures, and colors. Harry would look at nature such as dandelions, shrubs, and grasses and Harry would magnify these in metals for the observer to be surprised with how beautiful nature actually was. We just don’t realize how beautiful it is because it is so small and we never take the time to look.
I chose this piece because it is not your typical art piece. Made up of metal and put together to look so elegant, taking plain metal and changing it into a master piece is why I chose this piece of art.
